BREATHTAKING UNDERWATER ADVENTURES IN PARADISE

Kealakekua Bay

Kealakekua Bay is a premier snorkeling location on the Big Island of Hawaii and a top favorite of our team and customers. Snorkeling here has some significant advantages over some of the other locations on the Big Island, not the least of which is in a National Park. When you are in Kealakekua Bay, you’ll find yourself surrounded by coral and other marine life with a very healthy reef as well as plenty of opportunities for schooling fish.

Snorkeling here can often be done during the day and is a favorite among many customers who have commented on how much they enjoyed this location. Kealakekua Bay is located on the southern side of the island, and you’ll find that it is a bit deeper than some of the other locations on Hawaii’s Big Island. This makes it great for snorkeling as well as diving, but you’ll need to make sure you have all the proper equipment for those types of activities. Although we provide all of your snorkeling equipment, some vendors also rent snorkel equipment if you book a tour with us. You can expect to see some extensive and healthy coral formations, along with plenty of fish and other marine life at Kealakekua Bay.

While this might be one of the best snorkeling locations on the Big Island, it is not for the novice or inexperienced snorkelers. It is an excellent place for those who have been doing it for a while, and you’ll find that you get a better experience if you are used to snorkeling in general and being familiar with what to expect. This site has some giant fish, and despite being in protected waters, there is a chance you’ll encounter some shark activity. Fish that can be seen here are coral fish, triggerfish, goatfish, and occasionally squid. Be careful and do not touch the coral because it is fragile. Being in a National Park has its benefits, but it also makes the water more protected and more stable. There are rips along with the coral, but they tend not to be as strong as rips that you might find in other locations on the Big Island.

Snorkeling at Kealakekua Bay is an experience that you will also remember and recommend to others. It is a location that you will be happy you visited and probably want to return just because there are times to see different types of fish based on the time of year. This is one of the best snorkeling sites on the Big Island of Hawaii, and our team recommends it for any snorkeler who visits. Snorkeling here is easy, and while you might get a bit chilly and it does tend to be cool here, it is a great place to visit. Making sure to pack a towel and some extra clothes will help make your snorkeling trip more enjoyable. You’ll find that the water temperature is more comfortable than some locations on Hawaii’s Big Island, and you’ll enjoy being out at sea.

We love to see our customers return again and again to Kealakekua Bay because it is a unique location. You’ll have an experience different from anywhere else on the Island. It’s not the largest or most frequented site, but it’s one of the most beautiful.

There are many places to snorkel outside of Kealakekua Bay, but some of the best locations are along the leeward side of the Island. This allows you to snorkel near Kailua-Kona and get a peek at its beautiful beach, both before and after a big swell.

This is an excellent spot for those interested or in need of extra exercise, and you might find that some of the snorkeling tours will include a bit of hiking as well. Because this spot is a popular tour stop, you can expect to see plenty of other people here. This can help make the site seem more populated but isn’t much of a concern. In addition to all of the other amazing things to do on Hawaii’s Big Island, this is one of the best places for snorkeling.

You’ll find many things to do, places to visit, and attractions here on the Big Island that you might not find at other locations in Hawaii. For example, snorkeling here is a unique and beautiful experience that many people find themselves loving. It’s one of the most popular spots on the Big Island for snorkelers because it has plenty to offer and is accessible.

Kealakekua Bay is one of the best snorkeling sites in Hawaii and one of the best locations to view marine life here on our Island. You’ll get a chance to see all kinds of fish and coral as well as enjoy the area.
